What is a benefit corporation? It’s a new type of business that aims to benefit the community and turn a profit. These entities have a much broader mission than traditional companies and as such are rebooting the idea of business success.
Who will benefit? A Family: We will “create a respite for socially and economically challenged families to establish stability and hope.” Our Staff: Our team work activity and results translate into making a difference in people’s lives….a greater purpose! Our Clients: The fees our client’s pay will not only help build our company, but will immediately impact a family. Maybe You? Can you see yourself working in a greater purpose organization like NMCA?
How is NMCA organized? Our company is organized in three divisions:
- international coach training and leadership,
- benefit plan designadministration, and
- business transition coaching under a Benefit Corporation model, a special corporate structure approved by the Virginia State Corporation Commission.
The purpose of the business become a “greater purpose.” To achieve the greater purpose, we must excel in our service delivery to our clients.
How will NMCA make a difference? Through our delivery of outstanding coaching, benefit and transition services, each revenue dollar generated will yield 10% immediately towards our greater purpose. At the end of each fiscal year, we will also allocate a percentage of net income. The delivered funds will fuel “OUR HOME” Foundation, whereby a sponsored family will benefit from our love in the form of housing, job assistance, food, child care and education to work their way back to a self-sustaining member of our community.
Andy Andrews says it best: “Every single thing you do matters. You have been created as one of a kind. You have been created to make a difference. You have within you the power to change the world.”
